GET READY FOR OUR 97TH SEASON!
The St. Petersburg Three-Quarter Century Softball Club (Kids and Kubs) is looking for men and women to join us for our upcoming 2026–27 season. Founded in 1930, Kids and Kubs is the nation's longest-running senior softball club and has been featured by ABC's Good Morning America, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Forbes, the Tampa Bay Times, and Men's Health.

COME OUT AND PLAY!

Off-season batting practice and pickup games are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00–11:00 AM at North Shore Park in St. Petersburg. Bring your glove and playing shoes—the Club provides the bats. These sessions are a great way to get back into shape, sharpen your skills, meet the players, and prepare for the regular season.

Tryouts are now underway, and players are needed at all positions. Both men and women are welcome. Men must be 74 or older and women 73 or older before the start of the regular season. Annual dues are $125.

Kids and Kubs send out birthday wishes today to Joe Craig! Joe had a great 25-26 season, hitting a home run, triple, and 16 doubles. He also drove in 44 runs! Happy birthday Joe!

🇺🇸 Happy 250th Birthday, America! ⚾

As our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, the St. Petersburg Kids and Kubs are proud to have been part of that story for 96 of those years.

Since 1930, generations of players have proven that friendship, sportsmanship, and a love for the game never grow old. Nearly a century of baseball, laughter, and lifelong memories—what an incredible legacy!

Here’s to America, and here’s to the Kids and Kubs. May we continue making history together for years to come.

Kids and Kubs send out birthday well wishes today to Al "Pizzaman" Bartolo! The Pizzaman certainly delivered last season, being in the top 10 players for triples, runs scored, on base appearances, and total bases!

Outside of Kids and Kubs, Al is an accomplished musician on both drums and guitar!

If you would like to try out for Kids and Kubs, try outs and practice sessions will begin September 1st at 8:30 am at North Shore Park, and will be held each Tuesday and Thursday. If you will have celebrated your 74th birthday before the season starts, you are eligible to join!

Summer Practices are canceled due to extreme heat and low participation. We will start back on September 1st at 8:30 am at North Shore Park.

If you have reached your 74th birthday and would like to try out, you can do so by showing up at a practice session. Women are encouraged to try out!!

To be eligible to play, you must be able to run the bases in 23 seconds, bat a ball to the 120-foot line in 3 out of 5 swings, and catch the ball from base to base (65 feet). It's like a test for your driver's license, if at first you don't succeed, you can keep trying out!
