A hui hou, Mindy DeShurley🤍🌺
Mindy has been such a beautiful light in our little community. She is kind, compassionate, loving, giving, and just one of those people whose presence makes a space feel a little warmer. We have loved having her as a teacher and are so grateful for everything she has poured into her students and into Mālama🤍 While we’re sad to see her go, this isn’t really goodbye. We fully expect to see her dropping in from time to time. Maybe sometimes as a student and hopefully, sometimes back at the front of the room teaching us again🥹🧘🏽♀️
And a HUGE mahalo to everyone who showed up for Mindy’s last class, contributed to sending her off with a little extra love, and helped remind her just how loved and appreciated she is. Seeing everyone come together for her was so special and exactly what community is all about🫶🏽
We love you, Mindy, and we’re wishing you so much love and goodness in whatever comes next.
A hui hou as we say in Hawai’i or in english, until we meet again🌺🤍

Community is at the heart of Mālama🌿
We’re honored to partner with Youth In Need for an Ethnic Hygiene Supply Drive for local youth experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or other challenging circumstances.
At the request of Youth In Need, we’re collecting ethnic hygiene supplies, one of their current identified needs. Many traditional donation drives overlook these essential items. Together, we can help provide products that promote diversity, comfort, confidence, dignity, and care to the youth in our community.
Most Needed Items:
• Shampoo & conditioner for textured, curly, or diverse hair
• Leave-in conditioner
• Curl creams & styling products
• Hair oils
• Edge control
• Wide-tooth combs & detangling brushes
• Satin bonnets, wave cap, or scarves
• Lotion
• Body wash
• Deodorant
• Facial products or other skin products
• Toothbrushes & toothpaste
• Feminine hygiene products
• Razors & shaving cream
✨ Please donate only new, unopened items.
While this drive is focused on the items Youth In Need specifically requested, you’re also welcome to donate other new, unopened hygiene products or school supplies, if you feel called to do so. Every contribution is appreciated and helps support the youth they serve.
📍 Donations can be dropped off at Mālama Wellness & Flow during business hours or reach out via messenger or to Tatiana Pakele for it to be picked up.
Even just a share of this post would be greatly appreciated🙏🏽
Thank you for helping us support Youth In Need and for making a difference🫶🏽

This week’s theme: Santosha & the Water Element. We're combining contentment (Santosha) with the adaptable, fluid energy inspired by the water element. We’ll practice a slow, quiet, cooling class focused on grounding floor poses for your lower body, giving you the time and space to pause and be.
Join us at 7:30pm for Yin Yoga on Thursdays at Mālama Wellness & Flow

‼️CLASS UPDATE – Saturday, July 18‼️
Unfortunately, tomorrow’s 9:00am class will be canceled.
We had hoped the studio would be ready and presentable by then, but with the renovations and everything being moved around to begin painting, the space just isn’t quite there yet.
Mahalo kākou (thank you all) for giving this little dream the grace to grow🌱
I can’t wait to welcome you back into the refreshed space very soon.
