have you ever wondered why you can do something perfectly in training...then struggle to do the same thing under pressure? sometimes it isn’t because you’ve lost the skill. it’s because you’ve stopped trusting it. timothy gallwey calls this the tension between self 1 and self 2: self 1 is the voice that tries to control, judge, and correct. self 2 is the part of you that already knows how to perform. your body already knows more than you think. sometimes the hardest part isn’t learning another technique. it’s learning to trust the one you’ve already built.

Huge congratulations to Sensei who was inducted into the Natural State Classic’s Hall of Fame on May 23, 2026.

Silver Sun Showdown is this Saturday May 16th! Doors open at 8:00 am and the tournament begins at 9:00.

Moms were on the Mat at All Star Karate tonight!

The kids enjoyed challenging their moms to work on martial arts moves. The moms enjoyed the quality time and roses!
