One of the most underused moves in salsa & bachata especially for beginners? Hats and drapes. 🎩+ 🪟

Hats and drapes are such a great way to create dynamics, break away from basic and simple turns, and make hand switches feel more natural and intentional. 😍

Think of them like the “and,” “ahs,” and “buts” in a sentence. They may seem small, but they help connect one idea to the next and make the entire conversation flow more naturally.

But here's the thing: they have to be done correctly. 🙏🏼

In dance, there isn't always one “correct” answer. But there is good technique. And good technique should make both partners comfortable, especially the follower. 💃

When your technique is right, your dance feels smoother, safer, more connected, and more continuous from the beginning of the song to the end.
