Kingdom Warrior Academy of Martial Arts, LLC

Kingdom Warrior Academy of Martial Arts, LLC Martial Arts with a focus on application, health, and a Biblical philosophy. It exposes both our strength and our weakness.

Kung Fu is a journey, and like many journeys, it shows us things about ourselves we did not know. As we embrace our strength and are forced to face our weakness and overcome it, we find when the struggle is over we are not weak but strong, because we have learned that our greatest opponent is not the man on the street, but the man in the mirror. Kung Fu is a journey, the pursuit of mastery, not the mastery of others but the mastery of our self.

Learning happens in stages. The first one often requires coaching through the individual steps. Here is a student learning something new, still getting coached through it.

What I wrote for MGA.....

When COVID closed the world, I discovered online an exercise I could do…Tai Chi! Myasthenia Gravis (MG) has limited my ability to exercise most of my life. Now I attend weekly in person Tai Chi classes that have not only improved my balance but have also allowed me to do more with my left side after being extremely right dominant all my life.

Tai Chi’s slow movements can be done by those of us with MG. Tai Chi instructors encourage everyone to listen to their bodies and rest along the way. Of course, those of us with MG know that we can do more if we do listen to our bodies and rest along the way.

I encourage everyone to try Tai Chi.

Yes, if this senior citizen can do Tai Chi, anyone can give it a try.

Shifu Read using time on vacation to reintroduce form training following surgery. It's good therapy and good kung fu training. Not all training has to be intense. They offer an opportunity to train without being hard on your body or risking injury, also good when you don't have an opponent. No substitute for partner training, but a great way to solo train.
