George softball is the Meca of recreation and is host to "the Canyons" softball complex, Winner of the NSA Outstanding Park Award from 1999 through 2006 and 2011 winner of the Outstanding Park Award from the Senior Softball Association. With seven softball fields, playgrounds, concession stands, fishing ponds and acres of grass, tournaments at The Canyons become a family outing with something to do for everyone.

The City of St. George’s Desert Fall Championships are coming this November! This is a Utah USA National Qualifier, with the highest-placing Utah team earning a berth to the 2026 USA National Championship in July 2027.
