These 3 players have heard me tell stories about sand training for far too long & wanted to try it out. A couple of weeks ago, we gave it a go; they pushed through for the whole hour & did a fabulous job finishing strong. Maybe we should make this a Saturday morning routine šŸŽ¾šŸ

We had so much fun with this coordination drill with every level of group! The girls definitely locked in with this color-cone drill!

50 ball drill with Cam at 6am, bright & early ā˜€ļø

My coach would say if you cannot make 50 balls in a row, you’re not ready to play at your peak level of tennis and play a tournament.

Every coach will have a different stance on this but this really works for my own game.

**I am purposely tossing the ball behind the baseline due to hand fed balls not having pace

Checklist for our 1 hour beginner group:
āœ… Movement drills
āœ… Hand/Eye Coordination drills
āœ… Hitting 300+ balls

Moving efficiently to the ball at a young age will make their transition to the intermediate group much smoother!

My coach Seba would make me do this drill non-stop for spacing, I still love this drill!

šŸŽ¾ 3 rounds of 70%
šŸŽ¾ 3 rounds of 80%
šŸŽ¾ 3 rounds of match intensity

Working on open stance to closed stance with Mason’s groundies last night. Shadowing these drills with the swing sleeve & then executing the drills with hand feeding. The swing sleeve really helps players speed up their racquet acceleration so we use at the start of practice & also to end for conditioning šŸŽ¾

Spacing involving a large hula hoop! Having the player clockwise around the hoop helps with spacing and also moving forward into their forehand (opposite for backhands) Reed does a decent job at hovering over the hoop to help his posture too! He’s almost 11, can’t wait to see more of his progress! šŸŽ¾
