Two weeks ago Tim raced Ironman Lake Placid placing first in his age group. He went into the race not sure what to expect after a major back flare up a week before the race. Miraculously his body responded positively race day. He had a strong bike leg with a 32 minute lead in T2. Tim reached his goal of gualifying for the World Championship in Kona , Hawaii. The course was beautiful. It rained the day before and was bit cold race morning but it didn’t affect Tim. The clouds were dark at the swim start but fortunately the sun eventually came out on the bike leg. The sunny swim day was a practice swim two days before. Supposedly the wind on the bike was the strongest ever in the race’s history. It was fun to support even though I wish I was healthy and competing. Next stop Kona for Tim. 🌴
