In April of 1990, I proudly opened the doors of Koryo Do School of Tae Kwon Do. At the time, I never imagined the incredible journey that lay ahead. During my military career, the school moved with me from place to place, allowing me to share my passion for Tae Kwon Do with students from all walks of life. What started as lessons in martial arts quickly became something much more. Many of those students became lifelong friends, and many became family.
More than three decades later, I’m still teaching, still learning, and still committed to the same vision that has guided Koryo Do from the very beginning: making this school your happy place.
If you’ve never been part of our Koryo Do family, let me ask you something... isn't it time to find your happy place? A place where you can grow stronger, build confidence, make lasting friendships, and become the very best version of yourself.
And if you already know what "your happy place" means, if you remember the lessons, the laughter, the challenges, and the family we built together... then maybe it's time to come home.
The mats are still here. The doors are still open. And there will always be a place for you at Koryo Do.
Come find your happy place. Come home.
