Attention ACRPD park patrons - please be use all e-bikes and e-scooters outside our park areas. These machines are too fast to be used on park walkways and need to remain on designated bike paths, thank you for understanding :-)

ACRPD is lucky to have such an amazing and supportive community and our “small but mighty team” would like to ask for your help in spreading the word about the Jo Smith Nature Trail 🤗

Thank you to FOX40 for helping raise awareness and keeping our community informed about the trail closure due to erosion. Public safety is our top priority, and we appreciate their commitment to sharing important updates with local residents.

Our District is actively exploring trail modification options to address these challenges, and we remain hopeful about partnering with organizations to help support and fund this important, but extensive, project.

Arcade Creek Recreation and Park District is also proud to be a founding member of the nonprofit Sacramento Parks Foundation, which gladly collects donations to support vital projects like this. Together, with strong community partnerships, we can work toward a safer and more sustainable trail system for everyone to enjoy.

Last week, the Arcade Creek Recreation and Parks District announced the Jo Smith Nature Trail needs renovations.

Thank you everyone for coming out to Arcade Creek Park’s Grand Opening of our new play structures!! 🙌 June 13th was a fabulous community celebration 🥳 that featured free burgers 🍔 for the first 100 attendees, games, raffle prizes 🎟️ , music, face painting, vendors, and recreational activities. The celebration included participation and support from Sacramento County Supervisor Rich Desmond, MOSAC, Aerospace Museum of California, Fairytale Town, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department, North State Electrical Contractors Inc., Quick Quack Car Wash, North Sacramento Chamber of Commerce, Knight Watch Security, and Sacramento Suburban Water. Representatives from Fulton El Camino Recreation and Park District (Mike Seaman) and Cordova Recreation and Park District (Brian Danzel), both of whom serve on the California Association of Recreation and Park Districts Board (CARPD), were also in attendance. 🤗 A huge thank you to North State Electrical Contractors for their generous donation that allowed us to purchase our younger ages (2-5) structure 🙏 Also a huge thank you to our volunteers and small but mighty staff 💪 who helped make this event successful! 😊
ACRPD additionally recognized the River City Waterway Alliance with a framed resolution honoring their nonprofit contributions to Arcade Creek 🙌 🦆 💦 🌳 (Video Created by Claire Kunakey)
