Sierra College Athletics Ranked Among Nation’s Elite

Another banner year for Wolverine Athletics!!

The latest annual rankings from the National Alliance of Two-Year College Athletic Administrators place Sierra College Athletics among the top community college athletic programs in the nation.

Sierra accumulated 156.5 points during the 2025–26 academic year, earning:

🥈 2nd among California community colleges (3C2A)
🥉 3rd in the Ron Case Cup standings among state-division colleges in California, Oregon and Washington
🏆 8th nationally in the Learfield Cup state-division rankings
⭐ Highest-ranked community college athletic program in Northern California

The rankings reflect the success of Sierra’s men’s and women’s teams across multiple sports and highlight the commitment, talent and hard work of our student-athletes, coaches and staff.

Congratulations to our Women’s Soccer coaching staff on being named the 2025 United Soccer Coaches National Junior College III Staff of the Year!

👏 Head Coach Jason Gantt and assistants Ron Benjamin, Megan Harris, Todd DeCarlo, Janis Hurter, Bryan Byrne and Chris Starr led the Wolverines to an unforgettable season, capping it off with our program’s FIRST-EVER STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! 🥇

From a 19-2-4 record to the state title, this staff exemplified excellence every step of the way.

The team will be honored at the United Soccer Coaches Awards Ceremony on January 16, 2026, in Philadelphia! 🎉
