The great run by our Minors All Stars came to an end tonight when they ran into a tough Woodcreek (D54) team and fell 10-0. But hey, when you're still playing baseball on July 20, you know it was a good season!

They won 6 All Star games all together, 4 in Districts and 2 more in Sections. That is an impressive feat, and such great experience for these boys as they grow in their baseball development. Way to represent College Glen out there, All Stars, we can't wait to see what you will do in the future!

Now that our summer tournament season is officially over, don't forget it's less than 8 weeks until Fall Ball gets started on September 13. Registration is currently open on the CG website.

Falling behind by 6 runs in the 3rd inning? Not a problem for the College Glen Minors All Stars! Two runs in the 3rd got them a little closer, then we had two on in the 5th for Colton, who had already homered in the 1st inning. What did he do this time? He launched another one to pull CG to within 7-6! The boys had a fun celebration for him when he made it back home (watch the video!). We tied the score later that inning but would leave the bases loaded.

Neither team scored in the 6th, so we head to extra innings. Pocket plated their "ghost" runner in the 7th, so CG trailed by 1 into the bottom half. With runners at the corners and no outs, Enrique hits a ground ball up the middle that the 2nd Baseman makes a nice play on and throws home trying to preserve the tie. Jude slides, and he's safe! The ball pops out of the catcher's glove and Braden rounds 2nd and keeps running toward 3rd. The catcher grabs the ball and throws to 3rd. The throw ticks off the 3rd Baseman's glove and rolls into LF. Braden hops up and heads home with the game winning run! College Glen 9, Pocket 8!

But as is the case in Sections, you don't get to savor the win too long, because you usually gotta play again tomorrow. Our boys will now battle Woodcreek (D54) at 5:30 on Monday at Ponderosa LL. Win this one and they're in the Championship Game on Tuesday. Keep playing hard and never say die, boys! Let's go CG!

Our Minors got a win today at Sections! Leading 7-4 into the 6th inning the boys exploded for 8 runs to cruise to a 15-7 final over West Sacramento (District 6).

The victory earns them a rematch against Pocket (District 7) on Sunday at 11:30. Take a nice Sunday drive up to Cameron Park (Ponderosa Little League) and cheer on our boys as they look to stay alive in the tournament!

And no, this is not a broken record, Colton H hit another HR in today's game! That's back to back games and now three for him in the postseason. Keep on rollin, CG!

In case you didn't know, our Minors All Stars are getting the incredible opportunity to compete in the Section Tournament! Citrus Heights, the league they lost to in the Championship Game of the District Tournament, is unable to participate, so CG was invited to take their place. Exciting!

The tournament is hosted by Ponderosa LL all the way up in Cameron Park, but the first game tonight didn't go our way as the boys came up on the short end of an 8-2 score against Pocket (D7). There was a big moment in the 3rd inning when Colton H homered for the 2nd time this postseason, a 2-run blast which made it 3-2. Unfortunately Pocket scored in every inning to gradually pull away from there.

College Glen is back at it Saturday at 11:30 against the loser of tomorrow night's Tri City (D11) vs West Sac (D6) matchup. Let's go CG!

And just like that, it's all done. We celebrate the fact that all three of our CG baseball All Stars teams made their District Championship games, but it was the end of the road for all of them on Tuesday.

The Championship Game of the Minors Tournament we hosted went down to the wire between College Glen and Citrus Heights. CG pitching only allowed 1 hit the entire game, but unfortunately some late errors turned our 1-0 lead into a 4-1 deficit, which would be the final score. It was an exciting run for our boys with 4 victories in the tourney, including 3 in the loser's bracket to battle their way back to the Championship. Congratulations to Citrus Heights LL for taking home the banner.

Our Majors won 3 games in their tournament, including the unforgettable walk-off victory last Thursday, but had no magic left in the Championship Game against Arden. The final score was lopsided, but that doesn't change how proud we are of this team and how well they represented CGLL these last couple weeks.

After winning 4 games in 5 days, the Juniors were unable to get one last win in the second Championship Game. After beating Arden on Monday to force the "if" game on Tuesday, Arden responded with a shutout win to take the title. Shoutout to longtime CG board member and coach Steve Gill who managed his final game. Thank you for all your years of dedication to the league, Steve!

Our Minors Softball All Stars made a valiant comeback in their Sections Tournament Semifinal game last night, but unfortunately had dug themselves too big of a hole after falling behind 12-3 in the 4th. The girls were hitting well all night and gradually chipped away at the lead, getting it down to 12-8 in the 6th with 2 runners in scoring position and the top of the lineup coming up. Carter hit a good ball into the outfield, but Cosumnes River's LF caught it to end the game. We couldn't be prouder of these girls who won the District championship and made the Sections Semifinals in just the second year of the CG softball program. The future is bright for all our girls!

And that's a wrap on the 2026 All Stars season. It was a great run for everyone, and we're so proud of all of our players! A big thank you to all the coaches who got our players ready to go out and compete, and thank you to all of the volunteers who donated their time to help make the Minors tournament run smoothly here at CG. We hope you enjoyed these daily updates of all the exciting twists and turns that is all part of Little League Tournament baseball and softball.

Fall Ball is right around the corner, so be on the lookout for info coming soon!

It was an epic Monday night of baseball and softball for College Glen Little League! Thanks to 3 BIG WINS, CG Juniors, Majors, and Minors are ALL playing Championship Games on Tuesday! Our softballers will have a big Semifinals game tonight to try and make tomorrow's Championship. Here's how Monday went down.

JUNIORS CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
Juniors bracket is a day earlier than the others, so they played Game 1 of the Championship on Monday. It was a tense back and forth game all evening but our boys ended up on top 10-7 over Arden to force the deciding final Game 2 Tuesday night at 5:30 at Sunrise LL. Go Juniors!!

MAJORS SEMIFINALS GAME:
Three CG pitchers combined for a 2-hit shutout and Junior Chima hit one out in a 4-0 victory over Northridge. The win propels our boys into the Championship Game 1 Tuesday night against Arden at 5:30 at Arcade Creek LL! Like the Juniors, they have to win two games (Tuesday and Wednesday) to win the banner. Go Majors!

MINORS SEMIFINALS GAME:
The boys battled back from an early 4-0 deficit to defeat Arden 8-5 and move on to Tuesday's Championship Game 1 against Citrus Heights at home at 5:30! They too will have to win Tuesday and Wednesday to win the banner. Let's show up strong to root on our boys, Go Minors!

MINORS SOFTBALL SECTIONS:
It was a thrilling pitcher's duel under the lights (8:00 pm start!) at Auburn LL. Through 5 innings the Land Park Pacific (District 7) pitcher had 14 Ks with no walks, and had only allowed 2 hits. Marlie was pitching an excellent game for CG herself, keeping us in it all night.
CG trailed 3-0 heading into the 6th but never gave up. Hannah led off with a triple down the right field line and scored on Sierra's ground out. Ellie reached base on a hit by pitch. After a strikeout, Yasmeen poked a single to right. Tori then fouled of three straight pitches before a wild pitch advanced both our runners into scoring position. She eventually drew CG's only walk of the night after a 10-pitch battle where one of her foul balls landed literally inches from the RF line. So close! A fair ball would have tied the game. Then with the bases now loaded, Kayla put the bat on the ball but hit a comebacker to the pitcher who ran home to step on the plate, cementing the 3-1 victory for LPP. What a game! It was an inspiration to watch our girls battle!
This sets up a Semifinals elimination matchup Tuesday night against Cosumnes River (District 54) at 6:00. Winner moves on to Wednesday's Championship Game 1. Go Girls!

Our Juniors had an unusual Sunday game, looking to notch their third win in the last four days and stay alive in the tournament. They took a big early lead over FOV and hung on for a 10-8 victory to advance to Monday's Championship Game!

The Juniors won in a rout this evening 19-3 over Sunrise to stay alive in the loser's bracket. They're right back at it Sunday morning at 11:00 vs FOV. Winner moves on to the Championship Game on Monday!

The Minors played for the 3rd consecutive day and beat FOV for the second time, winning 5-3 in today's elimination game at CG. The victory earns them a rematch against Arden on Monday at 5:30 with the winner playing Citrus Heights in the Championship Game on Tuesday. Our boys would love your support, so come on out to the complex on Monday to cheer them on!

After winning their first two games of the tournament, the Majors took their first loss today 5-0 in the Semifinals against Arden. They'll play again Monday vs Northridge. A win gets them into Tuesday's Championship Game with Arden.

There are only 3 teams left in Majors, Minors, and Juniors, and College Glen is still battling in all 3 tournaments! Let's gooooo CG!
