This theme has been popping up everywhere lately, so I wanted to take it in a different direction.🥕

Instead of the usual farmers market signs and veggies, I imagined the family behind the market… their garden, their overalls, their family farm, and all the little details that make it feel personal.🥦

Sometimes the cookies that scare me the most end up becoming my favorites. 💜✨

I've made KPop-themed cookies before, but they were mostly shaped like the characters. This time, I decided to pipe the characters onto blank cookies instead. It gave me so much more creative freedom... and a whole lot more fear. 😅

Faces are something I've been slowly working to improve, but wow... they're HARD. Especially those eyes! One tiny misplaced dot of icing and an adorable character suddenly looks like they're questioning every life decision they've ever made. 😂

Thankfully these girls (and that hilarious tiger!) behaved themselves, and I couldn't be happier with how Scarlett's 4th birthday set came together. 💖

Behind the scenes at The Baking Flutist... 🧈🥚🍪

People often ask how I keep up with 15+ dozen custom cookies every week.

The answer? Sundays are for baking.

Before a single cookie is decorated, there's a whole lot of prep. This week is a big one—17 dozen cookies—so the day starts by measuring every ingredient for multiple double batches of dough. (And yes... that's a LOT of butter and eggs! 😅)

Once the dough is mixed, I roll it between sheets of parchment while it's still fresh, then it heads to the freezer for a couple of hours. I've found this gives me the cleanest edges and helps keep my cookies from spreading in the oven.

After baking, every order is carefully sorted into its own airtight container and tucked back into the freezer until it's time to decorate. It's one of the ways I make sure your cookies stay soft, fresh, and taste just as amazing as they look.

This part isn't the glamorous side of cookie decorating, but it's the foundation for every custom order that leaves my kitchen.

Now... time to turn all of this into 17 dozen edible works of art. 💜

I absolutely loved bringing this fresh take on a woodland theme to life. From the sleepy fawn to the curious raccoon, each little cookie was hand-piped to celebrate the newest tiny adventurer.

One of my favorite things about custom cookies is that no theme has to fit inside a box. Every set gets its own personality, and that's what makes creating them so much fun.

One of my favorite parts of this job is that no two weeks ever look the same. One day it's elegant wedding florals... the next it's the cutest little sasquatch celebrating a first birthday. 😂

My customers come up with the most creative themes, and I love bringing each one to life with custom details—from the tiny footprints and forest scenes to the "Sasquatch Crossing" signs and the happiest little bigfoot you've ever seen.

So many of these little ones first came into my world as baby shower cookies... and now I get to celebrate their first trip around the sun. Even sweeter, I have families who've trusted me from the baby shower all the way to 5th birthdays (and counting!). Watching these tiny customers grow up through cookies is one of the greatest gifts of this job. 🥹

And let's be honest... we all ride "it's a small world" at least once, even though we'll be humming it for the rest of the day. 😂🎶 (Worth it for the air conditioning alone!) And can someone please explain why Toontown always feels about 15 degrees hotter than the rest of the park? ☀️🤣
