Epic sturgeon fishing on the California Delta with Captain Jay Lopes! The action was nonstop. These sturgeon fought like absolute dinosaurs — powerful runs, massive rolls, and full-on battles. We landed some amazing fish, lost a few heartbreakers, and had a couple monsters that nearly got away before we finally got them to the boat. Ended up catching over 20 hard-fighting sturgeon, with fish up to 7 feet long.

But the best part of the day was the laughs, the camaraderie, and sharing a memorable day on the water with good friends Jenny Bench, Denise Loo, Dave and Jay Lopes. From the excitement of the hook-ups to celebrating each big landing, this was one of those fishing trips you never forget.

Fished up north yesterday in rainy weather and did pretty good. My friend Glenn from Hawaii came this week to fish n it’s gonna rain everyday! Caught lots Stripers n bass on swimbaits n flipping! Cooler weather n rain is what we needed to get some Stripers into the delta!

Put it down on your calendar Oct 20th I’ll be doing seminar on fall fishing from bass, Stripers and everything else! Len Vinci will also be there doing seminars on Hummingbird electronics! And can answer any questions about Minnkota trolling motors!

I’ve been teaching Lucas on how to fish the Delta. He is 11yrs old and can run the electric motor and read his Hummingbird n Garmin fish finders. He even got the forward facing figured out! Lucas won angler of the year in FPT and just won FPT TOC in the delta this last Sat! Now he just needs get little stronger so he can punch n watch out people!

Fished Pyramid lake yesterday with Sep’s and we jumped aboard Shawn big north river boat and also joining us was Cory n Steve. We trolled and jigged caught both ways! Biggest was 18 # and landed over twenty five trout! Wasn’t red hot but fun and we lost a bunch fish too! Probably as many as we landed! No we’re can you catch this many big trout! But at Pyramid Lake!

Had a very good day on the delta today with good friend Eddie who caught his personal best bass 6.2 pounds! We hammered the Stripers this morning on a very low tide!
