Congratulations to Colin Chester on his commitment to Wentworth Institute of Technology!

At 6’5”, 240 lbs, Colin has worked tirelessly over the years to develop into a tough matchup on the mound. He’s developed some nasty stuff from a sidearm slot, with his fastball now sitting in the low-to-mid 80s.

More importantly, Colin has been a great teammate and an absolute pleasure to coach. He’s earned this opportunity through a lot of hard work and commitment to getting better.

Looking to keep developing this fall without committing to another full game schedule?

The PSP Fall Development Series is built for serious players 13U–18U who want to use the fall to TRAIN, DEVELOP & GET BETTER.

🔥 6 weeks of high-level development
⚾ Hitting, fielding, throwing & position-specific work
🎯 Structured weekend workouts focused on quality reps
🏫 Select sessions hosted by local colleges
💪 Advanced instruction from the Pine State Prospects coaching staff

Congratulations to Henry Marcotte on his commitment to continue his academic and baseball career at UMaine Farmington!

Henry will be a senior at Massabesic High School this year and is the type of player you love having in your program. He loves the game and plays it the way it should be played — gritty, tough, hardworking, and always competing.

Even better, Henry is a great teammate who shows up ready to work and makes the people around him better.

Sean has been a part of our program since 13u and has been a dominant presence on the summer circuit since his freshman year. It’s been awesome to watch his development, hard work, and consistency lead to this opportunity at the Division I level.

🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP HARDWARE! 🏆

A huge congratulations to Pine State Prospects Showcase Director Colton Lawrence and the Sanford Mainers on capturing the 2026 NECBL Championship!

The Mainers defeated the Danbury Westerners 12-5 in the deciding Game 3 last night at Goodall Park, bringing the NECBL Championship back to Sanford for the first time since 2008 — 18 years!

Colton served as the Pitching Coach for this championship team, working with some of the top collegiate players from across the country throughout the summer.

We are incredibly proud to have Colton leading our PSP Showcase program and working with our players every day. The experience, knowledge and relationships he continues to build at the collegiate level are a tremendous asset to our athletes.

Our final Pine State Prospects tryout for the 2027 season is tomorrow, August 13 at 5:00 PM at St. Louis Field in Biddeford.

If you’re looking to compete at a high level, develop your game, and pursue opportunities to play college baseball, this is your final opportunity to be evaluated for next summer.

Another opportunity to join Pine State Prospects for the 2027 season!

Tryouts are open to ALL high school players interested in either path within PSP:

🌲 PSP Showcase — College exposure, premier tournaments & college team camps
🌲 PSP Prime — Competitive summer league play in the Perfect Game New England League

Can't make tomorrow? We plan to add 1–2 additional tryout dates over the next two weeks.

Our second Pine State Prospects tryout is set for Sunday, August 9, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at The Ballpark in Old Orchard Beach. 🌲

Pine State Prospects is built for players who are serious about developing their game, competing against top talent, and pursuing opportunities to play college baseball.

Our coaching staff is one of the program's greatest strengths. Every member of our staff has competed at the collegiate level, while our coaches include current college coaches, former collegiate standouts, and former professional players. We are committed to providing elite instruction, honest recruiting guidance, and an environment that prepares players for the next level.
