Storytime from Springfield 🏁

​We definitely had to find the good in the bad this weekend but Jonny had a blast riding this iconic track, showed incredible grit, and walked away with a ton of valuable lessons learned.
​
​It’s no secret that short-tracks aren’t Jon’s favorite gig—stalling on the line on his KTM 65 in both 65cc and Mini Open set him back right out of the gate, forcing him to work hard to climb back up through the field. In the 85cc class, he struggled to keep pace with the big kids and missed the main, but made obvious progress with every lap. Instead of letting a tough start define the day, he put his head down, dug deep, and turned it all the way up 💪

​TT started off with confidence sky-high! Huge thanks to the Bitz-Hays for "adding some new tools to Jon's toolbox" and helping him get his starts dialed in 🤙 During 85cc qualifying, Jonny took a spill and got banged up, but there was zero quit in him and he was determined to see the rest of the day through. We are so grateful for everyone in the pit family who checked in on him and kept his spirits up. He ended the night on a high note, nailing his starts and pulling holeshots 🏁

*Update: We love all of the outpouring support for the Nantz family!! At this time we will first be handing everything out in person at Springfield. (Not setting things aside so stop by our pit or find Jessica) We can then see what we have remaining to then find ways to get them to others!

We will be continuing to collect donations, to support the Nantz family, during the next 4 days in Springfield. 🩷💙🩷💙

We have 500 Bayne Nantz stickers to hand out and any donation of $5 or more will also get you a keychain. (Thank you Moments by Mindy’s mom for making these keychains)

Jonny didn't come to play—he's been grinding hard behind the scenes and really laid it all down on this awesome 1/2 mile!
65cc • Clean sweep all day, clinching a sweet P1 🔥
85cc • Crushed some huge goals here- started off the day qualifying 4th, lined up on the front row in the main, and finished with a solid P6 🤙

Jon has a fire in his heart for flat-track and loves having the opportunity to share that passion with his friends, family, and race fans 🏁 The crowd engagement was awesome, the track was fun, and being able to take home a win here for the second year in a row feels really special.

We'd like to thank everyone who made the event possible, we know you guys put in a massive amount of work to make it happen for all of the racers 🫶

Before we get into a race recap, here's a special moment—for Bayne! 🚂

Jonny wanted to show support for his buddy Bayne “The 🚂” Nantz
