Last weekend, we had the incredible honor of hosting the AAU State Clinic at Roswell Gymnastics, led by the amazing Cindy Furman
District Co-Chair.

We were also incredibly honored to welcome two Olympic legends, Betty Okino 🇺🇸 and María Inés Flores 🇬🇹, who shared their knowledge, experience, and passion for gymnastics with our athletes and coaches.

Betty Okino, a 1992 Olympian and Olympic Bronze Medalist with Team USA, brought her incredible artistry and expertise to the clinic. Her legacy in gymnastics includes the famous “Okino” skill on balance beam, named after her by the FIG.

María Inés Flores, a 1988 Olympian representing Guatemala, made history as the first Central American gymnast to compete at the Olympic Games. A true pioneer who continues to inspire generations of gymnasts.

It was a special weekend filled with learning, inspiration, and the love of gymnastics.

Last week, we were honored to welcome María Inés Flores, Olympic gymnast and founder of The Powerful Athlete, to our gym.

She worked with our athletes, coaches and parents, sharing valuable tools for building confidence, resilience, and a strong mindset.
