We are just two weeks out from the AMA event at the World Series of Competitive Putting! We're looking to see some great pairs strategies in this event and you can earn some entries into the WSCOP at the upcoming AMA event the Georgia Open!

The 29th MC Mini Masters on Saturday provided another close finish with the 6th different winner of the tournament in the past 6 years.
Congrats to Justin Gutche for winning out in the battle against his mini golf traveling pal and 2025 MC Mini Masters champ, Derek Hartmann. Peter Wokwicz was close behind in 3rd place on a beautiful day for putting.

Updates on the Southern Swing Pro Mini Golf Tour. All of these events are AMA point scoring opportunities and Mossy Creek Mini Golf will be a WMF World Adventure Golf Tour qualifier.

Southern Swing Tour Announces Equipment Rule Changes for 2026 Season

The Southern Swing Pro Mini Golf Tour has announced updated equipment regulations that will take effect beginning with the 2026 season.

The revised policy creates separate equipment standards for professional and amateur competitors while maintaining the tour's commitment to fair competition and accessibility for players of all skill levels.

Professional Divisions

Players competing in professional divisions at Southern Swing Tour events will now be permitted to use any golf ball that conforms to United States Golf Association (USGA) equipment standards.

Professional players must use the same golf ball throughout an entire round of competition. If a ball becomes damaged or unfit for play, tournament officials may authorize a replacement in accordance with tournament rules.

Tennessee Pro Mini Golf Open Exception

The Tennessee Pro Mini Golf Open has been selected as a stop on the World Adventure Golf Tour (WAGT), which carries additional equipment requirements established by the World Minigolf Sport Federation (WMF).

As a result, the Tennessee Pro Mini Golf Open will be a golf ball only tournament. Mini golf balls will not be permitted in any division.

All competitors will be required to use a WMF-approved and logoed golf ball during tournament play. Players may use any WMF-approved and logoed golf ball that meets WAGT standards.

To ensure every participant has access to a compliant ball, each player will receive a WMF-approved tournament golf ball as part of their entry package.

Amateur Divisions

At all other Southern Swing Tour events, players competing in amateur divisions may use non-conforming golf balls, including novelty balls, souvenir balls, clubhouse balls, and other recreational golf balls commonly used in miniature golf competition.

Player Appreciation Program

As a thank you to the players who support the Southern Swing Tour, every participant in a 2026 Southern Swing event will receive a commemorative logo golf ball from the host course.

Players competing in the Georgia State Open, Tennessee Pro Mini Golf Open, and North Carolina Pro-Am will each receive a unique logo ball representing that event's host facility.

The commemorative golf balls are intended to serve as both a tournament keepsake and a way to celebrate the unique courses that make up the Southern Swing Tour.

Tour Director Statement

"The equipment changes for 2026 come directly from player feedback," said Southern Swing Tour Director Kyle Cutshaw. "One thing we've always tried to do is listen to our players. Over the past several seasons, we've heard from competitors who wanted to see expanded golf ball options in tournament play, and we're excited to implement those changes."

"We want the Southern Swing Tour to continue evolving as the game evolves. We believe this is the direction competitive miniature golf is heading, and we want our events to remain aligned with that progression. Our goal is to provide a great player experience while also maintaining a high level of competition."

"It will be interesting to see how these changes affect course strategy. Players have now had several years to learn and perfect shots on many of these courses. Giving professionals additional golf ball options could lead to new approaches, new shot-making opportunities, and perhaps even entirely new ways to play certain holes. Cutshaw also noted that the Tennessee Pro Mini Golf Open's selection as a World Adventure Golf Tour event represents a significant milestone for the Southern Swing Tour.

Georgia State Open & North Carolina Pro-Am

The Ninja Golf Tournament on Saturday had beautiful weather and a fantastic turnout of 53 players across three divisions.

Frank Bisesi took home the top prize by a single stroke (109) over Todd Viau (110). Justin Gutche (113) took home 3rd place after a sudden death playoff with Brent Werling (113). Patrick Viau (117) took home 5th.

Eric Morel came out on top in the Locals & Friendlies division, and Lidia Mammolenti won the Kiddos division.

We’ll share the full results from all the divisions and update the AMA ranking soon as we receive additional info but by all accounts, this was a very well-run tournament and perfect weather for putting.
