Palatine Stingrays 08 had a fun weekend at the Grayslake Fall Round Robin #2 this past Sunday. We finished 2-1, with a 3-2 win over Firecrackers IL - 2027 Wechter, a 6-4 win over Stateline Fury 18U Red, and a 1-3 loss to Grayslake Pride 09 (27/28) (with the drizzle dampening the bats a bit in that last game). Audrie Corrado was our player selected MVP with a couple highlight reel plays in CF to go along with a .333 BA, 1 2B, 3 Rs, 2 RBIs, and 2 SBs. Congrats, Audrie!

Palatine Stingrays 08 is off to a great start this fall going 4-2 in our first two round robins. Congrats to our player selected MVPs for our first and second round robins…Jessica Kayse and Lily Kim. Jess had a double, a triple, 2 Rs, 2 RBIs, and threw out 1 runner stealing in our first round robin on Sunday, 8/30 in Arlington Heights. Lily had several great plays in the field at 2B and SS while hitting a double, 3 Rs and 1 RBI in our second round robin this past Sunday, 9/6 in Grayslake! Way to go, Jess and Lily!

Looking for something to do this Labor Day weekend? Come check out Palatine Stingrays 08 tomorrow (Sunday) morning/afternoon for a round robin at Alleghany Park in Grayslake. After starting off the fall season 2-1 last weekend, Palatine Stingrays 08 look to continue their strong play against some solid competition. Hope to see you there!

Palatine Stingrays 08 will be participating in a Bears Football Pool this year to raise money for our team. The cost of each square is $50.00, and this square is then good for all 17 regular season Bears games.

You will retain the same square throughout the season; however, your numbers will change each week and have different numbers each quarter every game giving everyone equal chances to win. The numbers will be drawn randomly then the sheet will be updated each week and an email will go out.

Each week there will be 4 winners-1 each quarter. The winners will get $30 plus a Super Bowl Square ($20 value). 68 chances to win!!

The weekly winners will fill up 68 of the 100 squares for the Super Bowl. The remaining 32 Super Bowl squares will be sold in January at $20.00 each.

Super Bowl Square payouts will total $1,000 (1st, 2nd and 3rd quarter will receive $200, and the final score will receive $400).

The fundraiser will help pay for indoor winter training fees, tournament fees, equipment fees, etc. for our Palatine Stingrays 18U team.

Palatine Stingrays 08 had a blast this past weekend taking in an Athlete’s Unlimited game in Rosemont. Fun team outing with a pre-game parade across the outfield and some great softball being played. Baylee Klingler with a 2-run walk-off HR off Sam Landry for the win. The girls are geared up for the start of our season next Sunday!
