Dear Friends,

We are deeply saddened to announce the loss of one of our own. Our teammate and friend, Katherine “Kat” Catanzarite, passed away last week.

Kat joined our league in 2015 and quickly became an indispensable part of our softball family. She devoted her life to education and playing the sport she loved. Kat loved to travel with friends to senior tournaments, whether she played or not she just couldn't get enough of the game. Kona Kup in Hawaii was one of her favorites every year. Whether she was making incredible plays in the field or cheering you on from the stands, Kat embodied the true spirit of the game.

In Honor of Kat, we will be having a moment of silence and prayers for her this Thursday before our games. You are welcome to place flowers and pictures on the fence line in honor of Kat. She was a treasured member of your softball family and will leave a lasting impact on everyone in the RPWLKS community and beyond.

We send our deepest condolences to Kat’s family, close friends, teammates and loved ones.

RPWLKS peeps: I left my glove at practice 2 weeks ago. It got picked up as a left behind item, then brought back to the field last week, but I was out... anyway, somebody picked it up and I'm super sad. It's opening night tonight and I legit feel like I can't play without it. I've had it since FOREVER! I think it's got "Martinez" on the inside, or some other scribbled shenanigans. If you grabbed it by mistake, let me know, bring it to the field tonight, hand it to your coach...... whatever. I NEED my glove! lol

This will be RPWLKS 51th Anniversary playing softball in Rohnert Park! RPWLKS league plays at Eagle "E" Park on Thursday nights. There will be a total of 5 teams with a roster cap of 13 women per team. Players must be 21 years of age before the start of the season.
