Good morning FeVA Families and Friends!

The City of Manhattan Beach Manhattan Beach Open is one of the most iconic events in all of Beach Volleyball. The 2026 event AVP Pro Beach Volleyball was no exception!

There is a FREE master Class in Defense, Hustle, Stamina, Mental Toughness, and Resilience in watching these two matches. Taylor Crabb and Kristen Cruz are two of the best defenders on the beach right now. Have your Players put this on in the background and just casually observe.

The Men's Final featured the number 2 Team of Taylor Crabb and Andy Benesh vs Gage Basey and Thomas Hurst, also known as the "Colorado Cupcakes" - and the result was as expected. But, the fight and the path that the Cupcakes took to get to the Finals was nothing short of remarkable!

And, on the Women's side of the house, the Taryn Brasher and Kristen Cruz just simply took care of business in this entire event, facing the team of Megan Kraft and Kelly Cheng, who are also excellent in their final.

We had an UNBELIEVABLE time today at the FBC SaGA Last Rites Tournament, at The Vault Rockland!

INCREDIBLE play from all of the Players, wonderful support from their Friends and Families, and some of the best summer weather we have had yet!

We had some generational transfer of Volleyball friends and partners, with some old friends coming together, just making for a "darn" good time on and around the Volleyball Courts! Can't wait to make this a regular tradition.

Good morning Volleyball Friends and Families! Once again, we are going to have today's session - rain OR shine! The only thing that will slow us down will be lightning.

We ARE going to get on the GRASS SURFACE today. That means, Players will need to decide if they want to wear shoes and socks on the grass (some do, some do not). Do NOT recommend knee pads, elbow pads, etc. Just plan on wearing gear that WILL get grass stained when a Player dives on the ground!

Everything else applies - bring LOTS of water, sunscreen, towels, and Beach gear/stuff. We have been noticing that Players are coming with one water bottle filled, and they really need A LOT more water. We have been supplying bottled water, but that costs $, so please bring extra water - like 3 water bottles worth for the 2-hour time period. Also recommend giving an electrolyte source such as Propel, Liquid IV, or the like.

Other item, please bring $5 cash - we do not have the capability to make change, especially with Players showing up minutes before the play begins.

Good morning FeVA Friends and Families! Your friendly neighborhood Club Director here.

We WILL absolutely be doing our Beach Volleyball session today, this is the PERFECT time to learn to play and work in the rain!

Why would we do this, you might be thinking -- Training beach volleyball in the rain builds mental toughness and prepares you for real tournament conditions where weather cannot be controlled. Wet weather packs down the sand to create a firmer jumping surface, but it also makes the ball heavier, slippery, and forces cleaner, more disciplined mechanics.

So, all the more reason to get this experience while you can. You will get a HUGE advantage over your opponents while you train in these conditions.

Afternoon vibes at FBC SaGA!
Hot sand, great reps, big smiles, and even better competition. It’s what summer is all about!
