What New York taught me has stayed with me long after I left. đź—˝
I wasn’t in NYC on 9/11, but I spent most of my life in the New York City area. In the years that followed, I even lived near Ground Zero and watched the city rebuild—brick by brick, day by day, through rain, snow, summer and fall.
I watched the Freedom Tower rise.
And it taught me something I’ve carried into every difficult season of my own life:
When something feels impossible, it doesn’t mean there isn’t a way forward.
Maybe you’ve had your own Ground Zero.
A loss. A relationship. A business. A dream. Your confidence. Or simply a version of yourself you had to leave behind.
Sometimes starting over feels impossible—not just in the moment, but for a long time afterward.
But you rebuild.
Brick by brick.
Day by day.
Choice by choice.
You keep going. You find another way. You discover what you’re really made of.
So today, borrow a little of that Empire State of Mind.
Magnetically empower yourself. ♥️
Keep building the life you’ll one day look back on and be proud you created.
And remember: the only time you truly fail is when you quit.
If you’re rebuilding something in your life right now, tell me “I’M REBUILDING” in the comments. Let’s remind each other that impossible is not the same as finished.
Always remember 9/11.
Always remember the lives lost.
Always remember the strength of those who came together.
9/11/01 — Never Forget.
