Dark Horse is a full service, state of the art, equestrian facility located in Rochester, MA. We offer instruction and training in Huntseat, Dressage, Equitation, Saddleseat, and Driving, and focus on the Morgan and Arabian breeds. We are home and recovering from a whirlwind week at New England Morgan-and what a time we had!!

I had so much to say about last week that I had to split it into multiple captions (see all the photos for some great stories!), but first and foremost I want to thank everyone that helped with this super successful week!

Our crew at the show and at home, clients and parents that kept us fed, watered, and sane, braiders, bodywork specialists and last minute shippers-we couldn’t have done it without the best village around ❤️

Today, five of our students are competing in the AMHA youth contest, which includes a ridden pattern, a speech, a horsemanship exam, and a judging contest. We headed to for the horse show yesterday! Mother Nature gave us a beautiful day and SSHC put on a great event-our riders and their Morgan horses had lots of fun and lots of success in academy, pleasure, and equitation classes. Best of all, they had a great time hanging with their friends and supporting and helping each other all day!
