Lost last night 5pm. 3-8 loss. Up 2-0 then Down 6-2, missed a 3 ball, guy got a few rolls mid set, but he was playing very well. I missed my chance after a good run out to get to 4-6 breaking, and went down 7-3.
Got some good sleep, and came out this AM with a good win vs 666 fargo, actually the brother of the guy I played the previous night.
Won 8-5, always had a lead and maintained it.
Playing the winner of Tyler and Hank tonight, Hank beat Tyler in 9 ball, they play at 5pm, I have winner at 7pm.

2026 National Pool Championships Day 1 Match 2

Lost 9-2 to Greg Hogue, brutal loss, just couldn't see the ball at all, very fatigued. Just didn't finish racks, tried my best to power through and ignore but it just caught up to me.

Also realized that we drove an entire extra hour yesterday since we went from eastern time to central time, no wonder I was so tired last night. Kind of planned on being a little tired and assumed matches would be spread out, so I would have some recovery time but found out they were doing the 9 ball as fast as possible. So played 11am, 1pm, 3pm & 5pm. Luckily had BYE at 3pm so was able to grab food. First time, so learning the ropes here, pretty cool venue, Dubuque is nice.

10 ball starts on Wednesday at 5pm, so resting up, enjoying the time off and will come full force for that tournament.

2026 National Pool Championships Day 1 Match 2

Well was 2-2 with Rodney and breaking and running, perfect on the 8 and decelerated and ended up short on the 9 and missed trying to avoid the scratch. Then next rack I missed an 8 in the side after a good run. Couple key misses led to a 3-9 loss.

B side battling for me! I got fortunate to catch a BYE and rest my eyes and grab some food and check into the Air BNB.
Most likely playing Greg Hogue next, he is up 5-1 at 5pm.
