The Rochester Avon Recreation Authority(RARA) has been providing recreational services to the communities of Rochester, Rochester Hills, Oakland Township, and the surrounding communities in Michigan, since 1946. We provide recreation programs for ages 6 months to 110 years, in a variety of areas. Including: Adaptive/Special Needs, Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Martial Arts, Gym/Cheer, Sports/Leagues, Special Events, Facility Rentals, Clinics & Classes, Day Camps, Fitness, Preschool, and any other idea that you bring to us.

Give your child the opportunity to learn and enjoy one of the world's most exciting sports in a fun, energetic, and supportive environment with our RARA Basketball Clinics 🏀

Players will develop fundamental basketball skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and teamwork through engaging drills, games, and age-appropriate instruction. Beginners will build a strong foundation, while more experienced players will refine their techniques and gain a better understanding of game strategy and court awareness.

Introduce your child to the beautiful tradition of henna in this fun, beginner-friendly course with Palace Design! ✒

Students will explore the history and cultural significance of henna while learning foundational design skills step by step. Each week introduces new elements - lines, flowers, paisleys, borders, and simple hand patterns - leading to a final project showcase and certificate. The class encourages creativity, patience, and fine motor development in a supportive environment. All materials included.

Join us for our Basic Drawing Series with Create Away Art Studio! ✏ This four-week series centers on foundational techniques designed to foster drawing skill development.

Each session will focus on different concepts such as contour line drawing, shading, cartooning, and urban sketching. Every week students will receive a handout that covers techniques learned in class. A suggested homework assignment is given to help reinforce what was learned in class.
