The Battery is Rochester's first indoor baseball and softball training facility in Western New York. It was founded in 1983 by former Red Wings to provide a much needed indoor training facility to area baseball and softball fans. Since then, thousands of young people have attended our successful programs and taken their game to the next level. Many of our students have excelled on their little league, travel, and high school teams. Many others have been awarded college scholarships and several have signed professional contracts. Our mission is to develop serious players, regardless of age or skill level, to maximize their potential in the game of baseball or softball... and ultimately teaching skills that transfer over to success in life. The strength of the Battery has always been its staff. We believe that if you are going to offer quality baseball and softball instruction, you must hire qualified and experienced coaches. The Battery takes great pride in providing the best in professional hitting, pitching, fielding, and catching instruction. Every Battery instructor is a competent professional who has played/coached at the collegiate or professional level.
