The Rochester NY USBC is saddened to share the passing of Andrew J. “Andy” Leccese.

Andy was a longtime and respected member of the Rochester bowling community. He spent more than 20 years as General Manager of Gates Bowl, helping build the center into one of the area’s premier bowling establishments. An accomplished bowler himself, Andy’s many years in the sport allowed him to form countless friendships and leave a lasting impact on those who knew him.

Andy also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

We extend our deepest condolences to Andy’s family, friends, and everyone throughout the Rochester bowling community who had the privilege of knowing him.

Rest in peace, Andy. Your contributions to bowling in Rochester will not be forgotten.

The 2026–2027 Rochester NY USBC Tournament Schedule is here!

Last season, tournament participation was up, with some of the highest numbers we’ve seen in years. We’re looking forward to carrying that momentum into another successful season!

Every event on this year’s schedule will also be a Bowler of the Year points-earning event, giving our bowlers opportunities to earn points throughout the season.

54th Annual Maury Hayes 700 Club
We kick off the tournament season with the 700 Club returning to Domms Bowling Center on October 31 and November 7.

BVL Benefit Tournament
The BVL Benefit Tournament returns to Pleasure Lanes on November 8 as we come together for a great event supporting an important cause.

27th Annual Mixed Doubles Championships
Mixed Doubles has a new home this season as the championship heads to AMF Fairview Lanes for two weekends, November 14–15 and November 21–22.

42nd Annual Paul Mascari Senior Singles
Our senior bowlers take center stage January 16 when the Paul Mascari Senior Singles heads to ABC Gates Bowl.

43rd Annual Queens Tournament
The Queens Tournament returns to AMF Dewey Garden Lanes this year on January 30 for one of the premier events on our women’s tournament schedule.

30th Annual John Nevada Sr. Masters
The Senior Masters heads to Lucky Strike Rochester, formerly known as Empire Lanes, February 13–14.

42nd Annual Rochester Masters Championship
ABC Gates Bowl will host the Rochester Masters Championship this season, with qualifying on April 3 and the finals on April 4.

102nd Annual Rochester NY USBC Open Championships
Finally, we’ll cap off the 2026–2027 tournament season with the 102nd Annual Rochester NY USBC Open Championships at Sunset Lanes in May.

We had a tremendous response from Rochester-area bowlers last season, and we’re excited to see what this year brings. Mark your calendars, support these events, earn those Bowler of the Year points, and we’ll see you on the lanes!
