Looked into my neighbor’s yard a few months ago and saw some small oak logs. I asked them if I could cut them down and make something out of them. I milled them down, let them dry out, and made a cutting board for them out of that wood as a way to say thank you.

I was recently asked to refinish a dining room table that had been in their family for years. The top had a shiny, sticky buildup that first had to be removed with a chemical stripper. After that, I sanded the entire table down, matched the stain as closely as possible to the original color, and finished it with boiled linseed oil.

"Round Oak Table Pt. 4!

A little longer this time, but I thought it was a really cool process to turn the slab into a circle. I missed a few shots I wanted to get of me cutting and drilling a few things, but I think it all makes sense. Big shout-out to my neighbor for helping me flip that huge chunk of wood!"

Round Oak Table Pt. 3

Glued up the top of this table over the last couple of weeks. In the process of cutting it into a circle right now. Be on the look out for part 4 coming.

PS: At the end I'm scraping glue that fell on the ground. My wife said it looked like blood.
