One of the things we love most about Blacksmith Acres is that it’s more than just a barn — it’s a place where families, friendships, and memories grow.

Abby and I have been friends for about 3 years now, and it has been so special getting to watch her journey unfold right here at the barn. We’ve watched her get her own horse, Maverick, get married, welcome a beautiful baby girl, and now find her way back into the saddle while building her own lesson program.

And now we get to watch the next chapter — Abby teaching her daughter the love of horses and giving her the same memories that we all treasure so much. 🥹

Maverick seems to think his new job is just as important. He absolutely loves his little sister and has already decided she’s part of his herd.

This is exactly what we want Blacksmith Acres to be: a place where kids can grow up around horses, parents can share their passion with their children, friendships are made, and the whole family feels welcome.

We can’t wait to watch this little girl grow up at the barn and fall in love with horses just like her mama did. 💕

There’s something so special about watching a young rider grow—not just in the saddle, but in confidence, patience, and determination. 🤍

Norah has been coming for riding lessons for a little over a year now, and week after week, she shows up ready to learn, improve, and tackle whatever challenge we put in front of her. She’s one of those students who doesn’t give up when something is difficult, she keeps trying until she gets it.

I’m so proud of how far this determined girl has come in just over a year! Watching her progress and seeing her confidence grow has been such a rewarding part of teaching!

Norah gets a different side of Lindsey when she takes a lesson here 😂
She has been with us for about a year and her hard work really shows! Today, we gave her the opportunity to ride a younger horse and really push herself. Needless to say, her and Lindsey had a blast 😮‍💨 and hopper got in a good workout!

In stead of continuing to share every post I made on my personal page, I’ve decided to just do one big photo dump of my trip this past week.

The bolo club was hands down one of the coolest places I’ve been to! We had so much fun with all our friends and I know cricket was made a better horse because of it!

Yesterday was incredibly hot and humid.
Lindsey and Bear unfortunately scratched their classes.
Hopper had her first show under saddle with Robyn (thank you again for helping me).
Cricket and I have some issues to sort out, but all in all, we showed up to saddle pals and had a blast with all of our friends and horses. Lots of laughs and Powerades were shared with good people. Regardless of the heat, a good time was had.
