Say HELLO to our Senior Team Members! These students helped establish our team two years ago, and now they’re ready to step into their leadership roles and help take this team to new heights this season!

We’re so proud of how far you’ve come and can’t wait to see all the incredible accomplishments you achieve this year. We know you’re going to make this season one to remember!

Today we are happy to introduce our Juniors. They are ready to learn, lead and inspire! We cannot wait to see all of their accomplishments this year has in store!

Today, we’re excited to reintroduce and welcome our sophomore team members! Whether they’re returning for another season or joining us as a new face, they’re ready to build on last year’s success and make this year even better. We can’t wait to see what they accomplish!

We are incredibly excited to announce that Yelena Gulbransen will be continuing her Speech and Debate journey as a member of the Western Kentucky University’s nationally recognized forensics team. In addition to making the team, she is also receiving a scholarship to compete with the program.

We are incredibly proud of everything Yelena has been able to accomplish over the past two years and cannot wait to see what comes next!

With the 2026-2027 season just around the corner, our Team Orientation is happening Thursday, August 13, from 6:00-8:00 pm in the Hawkins Middle School Library!

All new and returning members are required to bring a parent or guardian as we launch the 2026-2027 season, reveal what’s new, and prepare for an exciting year!

Still on the fence? Any interested middle and high school students are welcome too! Come see what the program is all about!

And with that, the 2025–2026 Speech and Debate season comes to a close, marked by our program’s second appearance at the National Tournament.

A huge congratulations to Yelena (Senior) and Madelynn, Audrey, and Harper (Freshmen) for giving it their all against the toughest competition of the year. Competing on the national stage is no small accomplishment, and these students rose to the challenge with determination, resilience, and professionalism.

Throughout the tournament, they not only represented our team, but also our program, school, and community with grace, poise, and pride. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence have made us incredibly proud.

Thank you for an unforgettable season filled with growth, achievement, and memorable moments. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this talented group of competitors. Congratulations on an outstanding season and a remarkable National Tournament experience!

On Friday, our entire team came together to put on our end-of-the-year showcase for our community, sponsors, family, and friends. It was such a special night watching our students share everything they’ve worked so hard on this year. Every performance reflected their talent, growth, confidence, and personality, and seeing them support each other throughout the night made it even more meaningful.

There were moments that made people laugh, moments that made people emotional, and moments that left the whole room inspired. You could truly feel the passion and heart behind every performance.

Nights like this are a reminder of why we do what we do, and we’re leaving this year feeling so proud, inspired, and excited for what’s ahead next year.
