Think you can't do it?

Think about the amazing things Linda did and think again!

You might think it's impossible, and maybe it is right now.

But you know what IS possible? Starting. RIGHT NOW.

There's a million excuses but there's only one way to win and that's to start doing things for yourself. Believe you're that winner and start becoming that winner.

You're worth it. Let's get it done!

Special shout-out to Jordan Sachs | Videographer and LoudVision | Richmond Videographer for the editing and help with all the great upcoming footage. The man is a PRO and has taken me from someone who knows nothing to someone who understands a little bit of the production process.

Case and point ... just start and you'll improve once you put in that work!

Another thanks to the awesome coach and soon to be co-host maggie for staying late and putting in that work, doing the extra things NOW, to build that better future for our team!

Another successful competition and another podium finish for Robert Myers who walked a 570 yoke, worked all the way up to a 400 pound fingal finger, nailed 3 of the 4 deadlifts in the medley (ran out of time, but two of those pulls were over 500!) and even lapped a large diameter 300 pound stone!

A competition full of firsts and he's getting better every time!

An incredibly well run competition and as always X-Factor Athletic Performance had great support plus the backing of the one and only Ascend Physical Therapy

Cardio and conditioning doesn't have to be boring.

Sure it's hard to start on a Saturday afternoon after working 80+ hours a week as usual, but man it feels good to be in motion and even better when you're done.

Special thanks to βš”οΈ Fighters Guild RVA βš”οΈ for giving me new skills to incorporate into training and giving that training a whole new dimension!

It's almost time!

Reapers Rebellion is just days away and we're going to see all the hard work from Michelle Lynn Altic in a big way on Saturday!

New PRs? New USPC Virginia records?!

We'll see, but she's battle ready and better than ever!

If your kid plays a sport, you already know how much work goes into it.

The practices. The games. The drives. The early mornings.

What most youth athletes are missing isn't more of that.

It's the physical foundation that makes all of it work better.

Strength training, when done right, doesn't just make young athletes faster and stronger. It makes them more durable. Less prone to the overuse injuries that sideline so many kids at exactly the age when they're supposed to be developing.

At X Factor, we work with athletes 21 and under with the same science-based, form-first approach we use with everyone here.

No random workouts. No throwing weights around and hoping for the best. Periodized programming built around where your athlete is right now and designed to take them somewhere specific.

And the same no-ego, no-intimidation environment that makes adults feel welcome applies to our younger athletes too.

Whether your kid is trying to earn a starting spot, stay healthy through a long season, or just build a foundation of real physical fitness before college, this is where that work gets done right.

Your first coaching session is free. Bring them in and let's have a conversation.

There's a reason most people who join a gym alone don't stick with it.

It isn't motivation. It isn't discipline. It isn't even time.

It's isolation.

According to data from the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association, people who train solo face a 56% higher risk of canceling their gym membership than those who train alongside others.

But here's the number that really stops people: 88% of people who train in group settings consider themselves loyal gym members. Among people who train alone on free weights and machines, that number drops to 33%.

Same gym. Completely different experience of belonging.

And nearly 50% of new gym members quit within the first six months β€” most of them going it alone, with no one noticing when they stop showing up.

The pattern is consistent across study after study. Isolation is one of the biggest predictors of dropout. Not because people stop wanting results, but because wanting results isn't enough to override the fundamental human need to feel connected to something.

This is why the semi-private model at X Factor works the way it does. You're part of something. People notice when you show up. They notice when you don't. They remember your goals because they've heard your story.

That kind of environment doesn't just make training more enjoyable.

It makes it stick.

Come in for a free coaching session and experience the difference for yourself.

There's a phrase you hear a lot in fitness circles.

"Go heavier."

Add weight. Push more. Lift bigger. The assumption being that more weight equals more progress.

Here's the problem with that.

Weight is only one variable. And it's actually one of the last ones that should go up.

Before you add weight, your movement needs to be right. Your joints need to be stacking correctly. The right muscles need to be doing the work. Your body needs to be moving through the full range of motion it was designed for.

When those things are in place, adding weight accelerates your progress. When they're not, adding weight accelerates your injury risk.

This is what "form-first" actually means, and why it's the foundation of everything we do at X Factor.

It's not about going light forever. It's about building a foundation that lets you go heavy safely and sustainably.

Our members aren't just getting stronger. They're getting stronger in a way that holds up, for years, not weeks.

That's the difference between training smart and just training hard.

If you've been grinding through workouts and wondering why you keep getting hurt or stalling out, come have a conversation with us.

Your first coaching session is free.
