Nabor Randee didn't retire, she RE-WIRED!

My thirty-plus years in museum administration ended abruptly during COVID, and I was a bit adrift for a while, longing to find ways to continue to be of value to my community. Rather than retire, I was more naturally inclined to "re-wire." Naborforce offers the right combination of a flexible schedule that I can control and meaningful interaction with clients who often need companionship and stimulation. One of the unexpected benefits has been the opportunity to learn the back stories of many very accomplished people, whose lives and careers have been full of adventure and achievement. I also have been inspired by brave examples of aging with grace and determination to remain independent and self-sufficient, to live life fully and with joy, as long as possible.

Frank, 95 and a proud veteran, recently moved from Florida to North Carolina and into a senior living community. While the move wasn’t necessarily an easy one, his Nabor, Ron, has helped make the transition so much easier.

Over the past few months, they’ve really hit it off. From getting settled into his new home to venturing downstairs and enjoying the community together, Ron has helped Frank create a home. And according to Ron, Frank is quite the checkers player!
