Four years later… Mike Alfaro 545lbs squat in prep for openers. Last meet/last year 3rd attempt was 567lbs. 600lbs is around the corner.

A lot of work went into this squat. And there’s a lot more in the tank. 📈

Elite-level power output by my guy 🔥

Another deadlift PR for my guy .o_forthe804
405lbs is an excellent milestone. Up around 85lbs from about a month ago!

But! Doc has been consistently building his base for the last 4 years, and it shows. We kept deadlift training load intentionally conservative till recently. This year we’ve been having fun training and testing limit strength with some scheduled peaks. Periodization is the way!

I’m always grateful for the coachable ones with the long-term vision and commitment 🙏

Another bench press PR for 📈

This was a big milestone. A lot of work went into this lift. A lot.

And there’s a lot more in the tank too. I’m excited to see it.

We’re hosting a workshop at the gym on Saturday, April 25 at 10AM.

Dr. Camille Ronesi of will be leading “The Bracing Blueprint”—a practical session on:

• Proper bracing to improve performance & reduce injuries
• Applications for everyday movement & longevity
• Hands-on drills to build real technique

Camille played a key role in helping me return to training and normal daily function after complex and disruptive injuries—this is actionable, high-level information you can use immediately.

The most rewarding thing to me as strength/powerlifting coach is to unlock an athlete’s potential. It’s even more rewarding when they’ve already been training consistently for ~5 years before working with you since the progress can’t be relegated to “newbie gains”.

went from stuck in a plateau to making consistent gains for the last ~3 years of us working together. He’s a beast — his willingness, grit, and winning attitude will make him successful at whatever he pursues. 🤝📈💪

We’ve added almost 200lbs to his total and dialed in his technique, training, and recovery. And we’ve had fun doing it. 💎

1 week out. Cheers, and happy lifting.
