The Rowlett Chamber of Commerce named its Small Business of the Year, and my client Covington's Nursery & Landscape earned it.
Watch a team run on the right way and results like this stop feeling like luck. The right people in the right seats, a clear vision everyone can name, and the discipline to keep doing the work when no one is watching. Covington’s put in that work, and the recognition followed.
We get to celebrate them on September 14 at the We Run on EOS event at The Statler in Dallas, alongside other North Texas companies grinding toward the same kind of win. Fifth year running, and the biggest EOS gathering in North Texas.
Come see what running on EOS actually produces.

“Does not talk over our heads.” 🙌
That’s the compliment I never get tired of hearing.
EOS was never about impressing anyone. It’s about getting your leadership team on the same page and actually moving forward. I’ve sat in the owner’s chair, so I know exactly what it feels like to need this.
Thank you to the team at Covington’s Nursery & Landscape for trusting the process.

Some news worth sharing. 🙌
Tim Tebow is headlining the 2027 EOS Conference in Kansas City, April 13-15.
Heisman winner, entrepreneur, and one of the best out there on grit and purpose. Now picture him in a room with 1,300 leaders who are all building something that matters. That is the kind of room this conference creates every year.
If going has been on your list, make 2027 the year. Early Bird pricing is open right now.
Come find me there. Who’s in?

What a day with the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association at this year’s EXPO. 🌿
I got to spend it with nursery owners, growers, and vendors who pour real heart into what they build, and that energy stuck with me all the way home.
One question I loved: can you split the 90 minute Level 10 meeting into three 30 minute meetings and get the same result? My honest answer was no. The full 90 minutes is where the real issues actually get solved. Chop it up and you lose the part that matters most.
Several Texas owners are ready to get more out of businesses they have already worked hard to grow, and I can’t wait to keep those conversations going.
Thank you, TNLA. This was a good one. 🙌

Final push - and I mean it.
We Run on EOS® Dallas is six weeks away. September 14 at The Statler Dallas.
Five years of this event, and it keeps getting better. The speakers are sharper. The community is bigger. The conversations in the hallways are worth the ticket alone.
If you run on EOS®, bring your leadership team. If you're not on EOS® yet and you keep wondering if there's a better way to run your business - this is your answer, live and in person.

Headed to San Antonio next week for the Nursery/Landscape EXPO 2026. 🌱
I’ll be presenting on August 11th - a full session on EOS and what it looks like when owner-operators build businesses that run without them holding everything together.
On August 12th, I’ll be on the expo floor with Nathan Dunham of Covington’s Nursery for a live conversation about his EOS journey and the tools that have made the biggest difference in his business.
If you’re going to be there, come find me. I’d love to connect in person. 🤝

1991.
That's the year the MedCare family started showing up for people who needed care. Therapy, nursing, ABA, home health. Built by one generation, now carried by the next.
Last month, this team kicked off their EOS journey. Not because anything was broken. Because when you've built something this good, you want MORE of it: more clarity, healthier leadership, everyone rowing in the same direction.
Proud to be in the room with them. The foundation they're laying now is what carries a family business into its next 30 years. 💪
Congratulations, MedCare. Can't wait to watch you run.

We're two months out from one of my favorite days of the year.
We Run on EOS® Dallas — September 14, The Statler Dallas.
Here's what I know: the business owners who show up to this event walk out sharper. Not because someone handed them a playbook, but because they spent a full day in a room with people who are actually running their companies with intention.
If that sounds like something you need heading into Q4, EOSNorthTexas.com has your registration.

I turned 49 last week.
Spent the last week of June in Belize with people I love, then came home and did it again for my birthday with a wider circle of the same kind.
Entering the last year of my 40s, I’m more aware of where my time and attention actually go. The people who get it should get more of me, not less.
Being present on purpose. I’m a work in progress.

Dropped Cash, Caroline, and Roman off at Sky Ranch this week.
No screens. No schedule. Just space to breathe, grow, and hear from God.
Clarity doesn’t happen in the chaos. It happens in the margin. I teach that to business owners every week. Turns out it starts a lot younger than we think. 😉
