🎯 MONTANA SHOOTERS — THIS IS ONE WORTH PAYING ATTENTION TO.
Montana could be one step closer to another substantial public shooting range.
FWP is asking for approval to acquire an approximately 86-acre easement near Logan in Gallatin County for a new public shooting facility.
The current concept includes:
🎯 Rifle targets out to 400 yards
🔫 Dedicated pistol and short-range lanes
💥 A shotgun area
🏔️ Public recreational shooting access in the Gallatin Valley
And this isn't just another idea sitting on somebody's desk.
The State Parks and Recreation Board is scheduled to consider the easement on September 22, and FWP recommends approval.
But here's the important part:
Montana shooters still have time to comment BEFORE the decision.
We've broken down the proposal, the funding, what would actually be built, why FWP says the range is needed, and the additional approvals required before construction could begin.

QUESTION FOR MONTANA SHOOTERS: If the state is investing in public shooting infrastructure, what would YOU want prioritized—longer rifle distances, pistol bays, competition facilities, training areas, shotgun sports, or something else?
