In this workshop we come into a combo and then work on what makes it special. How you can make it your own. From one move to another shouldn’t be rushed unless it’s intended to be a fast dynamic. It should also be acknowledged as a move all on its own where you can discover new shapes. Slow down, flow it up. Change speeds, maintain control. We focus on thinking patterns of the mind and allowing ourselves to be present in our movement. You will learn new ways in and out of old moves and balancing your transition moves to allow more freedom in your flow or choreography.

A sequence of dance movements around the base of the pole that could be considered playful, romantic, dynamic, OR smooth….it’s all in that “little flick” and whatever floats your boat.
In this workshop Jenyne encourages each participant to try different ways of completing the same moves in order to accentuate different parts of the music. You can either sell it with sexy, or joyously frolic, but whichever you decide you are doing it right. Feel the music and have fun or challenge yourself to try a new way of moving. Perform for your audience (outward) or for yourself (inward).
