A reminder that the trail from Quilici Ranch Road trailhead to Fleish Bridge will be closed starting in September. Here is the sign from Truckee Meadows Water Authority.
Please keep in mind that this will affect thru-hikers and bikers who plan to use that section to reach their destination.

What a beautiful day to share an MTB ride with Randi Knight, one of our board advisors, who had never been on the Mustang Ranch to USA Parkway stretch. The clouds kept the sun from beating on us, and starting early was a good idea! Here are some pics from our adventure.
Lesson learned. This stretch can be done in the heat of summer with a little planning and an early start!

Today, as I was walking through Mayberry Park, watching all the rafters floating by, I stopped at the River School Farm, right on the Truckee River. It is a lovely place to picnic or just enjoy the beautiful surroundings, including the Truckee River. It is a great place to relax and hang out. We are so lucky to live in such a lovely place. If visiting Reno, check it out! It is just past the bridge off of Aspen Glen Road. Instead of starting from Mayberry, you can also start from the Dorostkar Park trailhead, all part of the TPT.
