Summer Sweat 2026 is in the Books!

We’ve officially wrapped up our 3rd annual Summer Sweat program hosted by the Tropics!

Over the past seven weeks, this program brought together hoopers of all ages, from different schools and basketball clubs, with one thing in common, a love for the game of basketball.

Throughout the summer, new skills were developed, confidence grew, and friendships were built. More than 100 players made a commitment to put in the work, improve their game, and return to the upcoming hoops-season stronger, more skilled, and ready to compete. We couldn't be prouder of the effort and dedication shown by the players. Good luck to all of you on your basketball journeys, we can't wait to see what you accomplish this season!

As many of you know, the Tropics have experienced some setbacks the last few months as we’ve tried to grow the program. The Sportsdome stepped in when we were really in a pickle. THANK YOU, Sportsdome, for opening your doors and allowing us to host Summer Sweat in your gym. We truly can't thank you enough.

The Sportsdome shares the same mission as the Tropics and that is to create more basketball opportunities for kids in our community and continue growing the greatest game in the world. Their staff went above and beyond all summer to accommodate our program, and we are incredibly grateful for their partnership. If you're looking for more opportunities for your kids, please consider checking out the many great programs they offer, including flag football, soccer, T-ball, and, of course, basketball. The new location is AWESOME!

A special thank you goes out to our coaches who volunteered their time and energy to invest in the next generation of basketball players. Your passion and willingness to give back are what make programs like this so special.

And finally, thank you to all of our parents for trusting us to coach, mentor, and help develop your kids both on and off the court. Your support means everything to us.
