You know when that second place lands in your heart and makes you feel overwhelmingly happy? That’s exactly how it felt. Especially knowing that first place went to my incredible friend Gretchen LaWall — seeing both of us up there together brought comfort and a deep joy to my soul. I always celebrate the success of my friends and fellow professionals. Life isn’t a competition; it’s a beautiful journey.

And today, I raise a toast to my own journey. I opened a business alone in another country, with the support of my students. I teach alone, I run the studio alone — it’s me, myself, and I making everything work. It’s a fight no one sees behind the scenes, and receiving this award makes me celebrate even more. I’m proud of myself.

I had such a wonderful time working with an amazing team of professionals to bring this shoot to life. It definitely wasn’t easy… if you’re new to Pilates you might think, “Oh, piece of cake.” But if you’ve been practicing or teaching for a while, you know how challenging it is to hold clean, precise form in these exercises.
