I call myself a "recovering perfectionist" and while I'm always learning, I know a thing or two about how to recognize and adjust this pattern.

Perfectionism isn't a work ethic, it's a survival strategy.

It often starts as a way to stay safe and...

👉 Avoid criticism.

👉 Earn approval.

👉 Stay in control.

Perfectionism looks productive on the outside...but underneath, it creates hesitation, uncertainty and usually much more work.

You don't need to do more to deserve success. You need to trust yourself enough to move before everything feels perfect 🏃‍♀️.

That shift alone can feel risky...but it can change your work, your results and your confidence for the better.

Too often, we recalibrate only when something breaks - when our energy is depleted, we've lost motivation or our performance starts to suffer 😮‍💨.

The most effective leaders don't wait for burnout.

They reassess and adjust before things become unsustainable. They create space to think so they can head off problems in advance.

Direction isn't something you set and forget…it's something you refine as you grow.

✨ You don't have to be exhausted to make a change for the better.

✨ You don't have to hit a wall to choose a different way forward.

✨ You're allowed to pause before it gets that far.
