Another one in the books! Our team of 4 competed at the USAT Season Finals in Arkansas. This where only the top are invited. Despite their coach (me) getting stranded at the airport, they went to work. Our boy Hunter came away with 🥇to maintain his number 1 ranking in the US. Evan and Eirum also bring 🥇🥇 to maintain there number 1 ranking. Unfortunately. Daniel fell short in quarters of the black belt division. A special thank you to master Paul of my focus for sitting in the chair for me until i arrived and I thank the Lord for getting us through.

Our team of 13 KOMA athletes competed this past weekend at the Han Muam Taekwondo Festival, returning home with 6 🥇, 4 🥈, and 3 🥉While not everyone finished with gold, every athlete fought hard until the very last second.

Here are a few highlights:

- Lara, competing in her first tournament, started the day strong by winning Gold.
- Paul made it to the finals in the tough black belt division, finishing in a very close match.
- Gurshaan (a red belt) stepped up to compete in the junior black belt division and secured another victory!
- Rahne (a Dan Bo) took on an exhibition match against a black belt in her first cadet division tournament with head kicks allowed, fighting exceptionally well.
- Evan & Eirum, our brother and sister duo, competed for the first time in the green belt division and both brought home Gold, again!
- Paulina, in only her second tournament, delivered a great performance and won Gold in the blue belt division.

The rest of the team also had fantastic bouts and continues to learn and grow. We are grateful to our Lord for these wonderful opportunities. Next up: the US Finals and the California Open. Let’s go!

These 3 just competed at the Grand Phoenix Open this past weekend in AZ. It was a USAT ranking event where they did amazing! Evan dominated his matches. Eirum (yellow belt) & Gurshaan (red belt) both took on the challenge of fighting exhibition matches against black belts. Gurshaan lost a close match to a good fighter, while Eirum really stepped up her game and was able to practice head shots to beat a black belt that was gracious enough to fight her. Future looks very bright for all of them. Let’s keep stepping in the right direction.

Congratulations on an overall good performance by our team of 7 that competed at the CA Challenge. There were great performances and things to be learned. What we are most pleased with is we continued to fight until the last second!
Competition is SO important to our development no matter what the results are. It’s where we learn more about the game and about ourselves. There is no substitute for this. Learning to be in pressure and handle the pressure of competition is the best! After all, it is all about competing. We return from this competition with 4 🥇& 2 🥈. Our players took another step forward from this competition! Special congrats to our red belt Gurshaan for not only taking the challenge to compete in the Black belt division, but winning a spot on the IME Team to compete in Mexico. As well as, our Black belt, Daniel for coming close to the IME team by making it to the finals. We will continue to build on what worked for us and work on the things we learned to improve.
