And that’s a wrap!

Our first-ever National Taekwondo Championship is officially in the books.

We brought 3 students to compete:
🥉 2 Bronze Medals
💪 1 Quarterfinalist

I couldn’t be more proud of all of them. For their first time competing on the national stage, they stepped onto the mats with determination, courage, and grit.

Congratulations to Andrew, Alana, and Sofiia for representing Superfoot Taekwondo Tigers and challenging themselves against some of the best athletes in the country.

This is only the beginning. We’ll be back stronger next year. ❤️🥋

🥋 Semifinals: Fell to a tough opponent.

Post-match conversations are sometimes just as entertaining as the matches themselves. 😂

Blue Belt Division Nationals (15–17 years old)

Opponent: “I beat you, right?”
Andrew: “Aren’t you a black belt already?”
Opponent: “Nah, I’m only a red belt.” (He’s been a black belt since 2024🤦🏻‍♂️)
Other opponent: “Yeah, I’m a red belt too.”
Opponent: “I’ve been doing Taekwondo since I was 4 years old.”
Other opponent: “I started when I was 8.”
Andrew: “This is only my first year.” 🤣

Our first taste of competition at the 2026 US Nationals! 🇺🇸🥋

Andrew fought his way to a Bronze Medal after falling just short in the semifinals. We’re incredibly proud of how he performed!

The crazy part? His semifinal opponent was a 2nd Dan Black Belt who’s been training since he was 4 years old… and was still competing in the Blue Belt division. 🤣 Meanwhile, Andrew has only been training for about a year. No excuses—just proof that he belongs on this stage. What an incredible performance!

Alana also fought hard but came up short in the quarterfinals. While the results weren’t what she hoped for, this was an invaluable learning experience. Every match at this level is another opportunity to grow, and she’ll come back even stronger.

Nationals is never easy. You’re competing against some of the best athletes from across the country, and every match teaches you something.

We’re proud of both Andrew and Alana for representing Superfoot Taekwondo Tigers with heart, determination, and sportsmanship.
