A misting rain didn’t dampen the enthusiasm for the dedication of the Johnston County Regional Park Friday! 🎉

Johnston County Parks and Open Space (POS) Director Adrian O’Neal welcomed the community to the new park with comments provided by Johnston County Commissioners Chair Patrick Harris and Commissioner April Stephens.

NC House of Representatives Donna White and Howard Penny also participated in the celebration.

POS staff creatively leveraged LWCF and PARTF for the acquisition ($500,000) and then Phase 1 development ($1,000,000) of Johnston County’s first park.
