Southern Maryland News Players Of The Year 🥎Congratulations to 18U Northern Calvert Fury players Centerfield Melody Russell (2026) Barton College commit and Pitcher Racheal Howell (2026) Penn State Harrisburg commit were named Players Of The Year for their fantastic high school season. Both players helped their high school teams win Maryland State Championships this year. On Offense Melody Russell put up game changing numbers in almost every category to help her team with the 3A Maryland State Championship at Northern. On Defense Racheal Howell had great year in the circle. Racheal had only one loss on the season helping Huntingtown win the 2A Maryland State Championship. Congratulations to both of our players on a great season.

In high school Kendall earned 2026 All SMAC Conference honors at first base and All SMAC volleyball honors. Great weekend at the plate all weekend.
