Friday Fit Tip: Beat the July Heat with the "Split-Session" Trick
As the holiday weekend brings peak July temperatures, don't let oppressive humidity derail your outdoor workouts. If you plan to take your fitness outside this weekend, try splitting your traditional 60-minute routine into two smaller, high-intensity 20- or 30-minute blocks; one in the early morning and one in the evening. This "split-session" strategy heavily reduces your risk of heat exhaustion, keeps your core temperature safe, and gives you a metabolic boost twice a day rather than once. When the midday sun peaks, bring your training indoors to an air-conditioned space or cool off in the pool!
