We’re cruising this Thursday! 🚢🚢🚢
Every third Thursday of the month we run “the slowest ride in town!” A lil bop around town maybe 10 miles or less with a nice break in the middle. Sometimes we do fun activities. It’s a great way to get your bike-curious friend out there in a chill environment.
This time we’re getting wet! Maybe bring a swimsuit. Iykyk
We roll about 7:30 pm from the shop Thursday July 16
Oak City Cycling Project
Bikes and Nice Folks that like 'em.
A local, independent cycling shop in Downtown Raleigh, NC focused on increasing bicycle ridership through sales, service, outreach, and community.

We’ve had a lot of folks stopping by letting us know they’ve started (or occasionally, like these folks, completed!) our challenge 🍕🔼👁️
If you want some company while you’re tackling these trails you can join us every other Sunday!
This week we’re staying nearby and heading to 286 at 10 am on Sunday 6/14. Keep an eye on our website calendar for details about where we’re going next.
Come hang out :) Or if you’re on a solo campaign swing by and get some stamps for your map! We love chatting about the trails

The last race in our short track MTB series is this Wednesday June 3, and we’ve discounted the entry fee to make it a party! Meet us at Spring Hill in Dorothea Dix to race, spectate, or just enjoy the great sunset!
The course will be very forgiving. Mountain bikes, cyclocross bikes, and gravel bikes are all appropriate. Jumps and any other challenging features will have ride-arounds. Feel free to register for whatever category feels best to you. First-time racers to seasoned, salty mtb dogs, everyone’s a winner when they sign up for this one. Only the top three finishers in each category will be scored and there is no omnimum - just good vibes.
Register to race on BikeReg, search for ‘Oak City Cycling Short Track MTB’

We had the honor of hooking up absolute legend and local icon Flash with a new rig from !
You’ve likely seen this fella riding around town on his trusty 26er and trailer. When the repairs on ol faithful became too much he decided to jump into the world of tubeless, hydraulic brakes, thru axles, 1x drivetrains, and non square taper bottom brackets. Shucks a lot has changed.
Though what really endeared this guy to the bike was the name Bridge Club - a fun way to pay homage to the common practice of seeking shelter from the elements under bridges on touring trips.
Everyone say Happy New Bike day to Flash! Tell him he’s looking good.

Slowly but surely we’re gonna cross off all 10 trails on our trail challenge. (Shout out for making these trails possible) This time 5/17 we’re heading to Williamson Preserve.
Oh and we got these real neat n nice Sorceresses 🧙♀️ in the store ready for test ride.

Roll in this Thursday evening 4/23 7pm for a yoga class taught by our friend Madeline!
We will be stretching out those bike legs and shaking off the week. Expect good vibes and to leave feeling way better than when you walked in 🧘🏼♀️🪷🚲✨
We’ll also be open downstairs maybe spinning some of your new RSD records in a chill, quiet way if you’re just trying to hang out at the shop in the evening.
See you then!

Back in 2018 we dreamt up a mountain bike challenge to highlight the amazing trails in the area!
It’s called Tetractus🔸👁️🍕🌋
Essentially all you have to do is ride at least a bit of all the 10 listed maintained trails. Then you get an exclusive glittery patch!
Some stuff has changed since 2018 so we’ve updated the list. Here it is!
-Beaverdam
-Briar Chapel
-Brumley
-Carolina North
-Harris Lake
-Lake Crabtree/286
-Little River
-New Light
-Forest Ridge
-Williamson Preserve
You don’t have to ride these with us to earn the patch but in the coming weeks we’ll be leading a few group rides if you want some company :)
The first one will be Sunday April 19th, meet at Beaverdam at 10 am!
Check out the routes page on our website for more info. Also consider donating to if you’ve enjoyed them! Thanks for making them possible yall.

Local rando and good pal Nicky B has ridden a lot of roads - like *a lot* of roads. Maybe all the roads?
So when he asked us to build up a sparkly ‘Rando’ all-road frame we couldn’t have been more stoked for him.
You’ll often find light weight steel bikes with big tire clearance in the center of the Venn diagram of performance and practicality, and this one is no different.
Our favorite part is the module drop out! You can swap your single speed wheel set on this puppy in a jiffy. Wowee zowee!
We love helping you dream up your dream bike! Come in and chat with us about your vision anytime.
