A week of remarkable progress and invaluable milestones for Pack Motorsports at the Formula SAE Michigan EV competition.

While time constraints ultimately prevented us from participating in the dynamic events, the team’s performance demonstrated profound growth and establishes a strong foundation for the future of our electric vehicle program.

We are incredibly proud of the technical milestones and accolades achieved by our team this week:

• Successfully passed Tractive Battery Technical Inspection✅
• Successfully passed Mechanical Technical Inspection✅
• Successfully passed EV Active Technical Inspection✅
• Achieved 115 points in Engineering Design, more than doubling our score from last year
• Secured 2nd Place for the 2026 Cummins Sustainable Power and Performance Excellence Award🏆

Although a demanding schedule left us just short of completing the final inspections required for dynamic track events, the exponential advancement in our technical knowledge and operational experience marks this competition as a big milestone.

Our team is incredibly thankful to our teammates, alumni, sponsors, faculty, and others. Your unwavering support has been vital to our progress this season. We look forward to leveraging these insights as we engineer an even stronger return for next year.

At Pack Motorsports, we are always striving to better ourselves and our community. A lot of changes were made this year, from a leadership restructure to the implementation of new technologies. Through innovation, communication, and teamwork, we were able to go above and beyond our own expectations this year.

Day 3 EV Competition


The team went sailing this morning as high winds pushed through MIS. However, the weather couldn’t stop us from passing mechanical tech✅! The team stayed hard at work throughout the day as we went to present our design to judges, which will grant us points for our overall score. Time constraints kept us from advancing into EV active tech, so tomorrow morning will be packed…go pack!🐺
