THIS is part of the problem with the hunting industry.
A 172-inch buck gets presented to thousands of hunters as a hard-earned public-land deer. Great genetics. Wild deer. No management. No supplemental nutrition. Just somehow grew a giant rack walking around public ground.
Except that wasn’t the truth.
According to federal investigators, this buck was killed on a private game farm with a paid guide, then transported, staged and falsely registered as a public-land kill.
And this crap matters beyond one deer.
Because the hunter scrolling Facebook sees a 170"+ buck supposedly coming off unmanaged public ground and thinks:
“See? Deer don’t need supplemental nutrition.”
That completely misses the point.
There is NO replacement for genetics. There is NO replacement for age. And there is NO replacement for quality habitat.
But nutrition matters too.
Supplemental feeding and minerals aren’t magic antler dust, and any company telling you they can turn a genetically average 2-year-old into a 200-inch deer is selling you snake oil.
The goal is to give your herd access to quality nutrition so those animals have the opportunity to reach more of the potential they already possess.
That’s wildlife management.
Habitat. Genetics. Age. Nutrition.
Not fake stories. Not staged pictures. And not pretending a game-farm buck walked off public land.
Hunters deserve the truth.
Bigger Bucks. Healthier Herds.®
