When the coach finally uses the “teacher voice” on that one member...

So anyway, we’re gonna have to order more White Monsters.

This one’s for you, Scott Herrmann

Work is work.

It doesn’t have to start with the hardest movement on the board.

It starts with showing up, putting in effort, choosing the right progression, and building the strength, skill, and confidence one step at a time.

Rx movements don’t happen by accident.

They’re built through hard work, consistency, and reps that meet you where you are.

That’s the process — and everyone has a place to start.

Yeah, you.

Good people, hard work, and a community that makes showing up a little easier.

Give me fuel. Give me fire. Give me lungs that don’t tire.

Today we took on a 40-minute EMOM inspired by Matt Fraser.

On paper, these workouts can look simple. Maybe even boring.

But simple doesn’t mean easy — and steady, disciplined work like this is part of what built the fittest on Earth.

Show up. Breathe. Move. Repeat.

Coach: “Alright, let’s go over rope climb technique.”

Class: “Okay, but what if we just… swing?”

Some days are skill work. Some days are recess with chalk buckets.

Today was both.

Heavy Metal Week kicked off with Iron Maiden.

Heavy front squats for strength, then a variation of Annie with just enough extra pain to make the name feel appropriate.

Classic workout. New suffering. Strong start to the week.

Still trying to put into words how proud I am of this crew.

Yesterday, RSF had three teams compete at Battle of Unwritten, placing 2nd, 5th, and 6th out of 24 teams — and every single one of our teams took 1st place in an event.

There were big lifts, tough moments, missed reps, comebacks, nerves, excitement, and plenty of emotional highs and lows throughout the day.

But more than anything, I’m proud of how our athletes showed up for each other. Every team had their own battles, their own big moments, and their own reasons to be proud.

And it wasn’t just the athletes competing. The RSF crew showed up to cheer, support, take videos, yell from the sidelines, and remind everyone what this community is all about.

A special thank you to Scott Herrmann for his constant support, encouragement, and photography. You help capture these moments and make them even more special.

Thank you CrossFit Unwritten for hosting such a great event. We’re already looking forward to next year.

I’m so proud of our teams, proud of this gym, and excited for what we’re building.

Back to work.

Last but not least for Battle of Unwritten: RSF and Find Out.

Jason Bielski 54 and Chelsea Amber are headed to CrossFit Unwritten tomorrow ready to represent the gym the only way they know how.

Show up. Throw down. RSF and find out.

Next up for Battle of Unwritten: Comfortable Seeing Stars.

Lynn Baluh and Steve Paskell are headed to CrossFit Unwritten tomorrow, and with a team name like that, you already know they’re ready to suffer a little.

Calm under pressure. Strong under fatigue. Comfortable in the chaos.
