Neptune Club Dive, Sunday, August 30, 2026 Story by Doug Eaton, Photos by Beth Kelley Kane. Paul Morgan met up with Chuck Zarba at the old club house and headed to Angelo Correnti’s boat where Angelo, Beth Kane and Doug Eaton were waiting. We loaded up and headed out to meet up with Tommy Lo and Ken Hayes. Paul jumped on Tommy's boat and off we went to Outer Graves Light for the first dive and then went to Green Island. When we arrived at Green Island we met Neptune Tim Burke. He told us the flies were bad there so we went to Outer Brewster. At Outer Brewster Beth Kane had a great dive and caught the biggest lobster of the day.

Do you have old photos from diving in the Quincy Quarries with the Quincy Dive Team? Do you remember the old granite building across from The Common Market that was recently torn down?
The Quincy Quarry Museum is looking for old quarry diving pictures and they want to have an exhibit on Quincy Dive Team activities in the quarries. They have also recently added a new building built from granite recovered from the house torn down across from The Common Market and also a working blacksmith shop with my grandfather’s forge and tools. They are looking for people with blacksmith skills.

Neptune Dive - Sunday, July 19, 2026. Story and Photos by Sokol Prifti. Todd Alger, Joe Kilcommons, Alex Wieck and I knew that the weather would get worse and we rushed out on Alex’s boat to get in the water as soon as possible! The ocean was calm but the visibility was not great! Small fish everywhere and seaweed covering the ground! On my safety stop, I saw an orange organism on the reef and I took a picture!
Joe found a tickle stick that I lost last year and it hadn’t changed very much!
We rushed to the second location Roaring Bulls because the wind had been blowing and water was choppy! Visibility was way better and we got good size lobsters. Alex brought a competitive size lobster to the boat and we all enjoyed the day! We were back to the marina by 12:30 PM.

SSN Club Dive - Sunday, 7/26/26. Story and Photos by Chuck Zarba.
Conditions: 74 degrees and Sunny, Wind SE at 10 MPH, Seas < 2’ with some large swells.
We decided to dive the leeward side of Graves Light as it appeared to be a reasonably calm location in comparison to elsewhere. Three boats and crew were in attendance: Angelo Correnti, Tommy Lo and Bill Gallagher.
Tommy Lo had Ken Hayes and new Neptune Rachel Maynard.
Angelo Correnti had Beth Kane, Justin Cassanova, and myself.
Bill Gallagher had Evan Bodell and Lee Koetzner.
Visibility was about 15’
My max depth was only 31’
Although this site was not the best for lobstering, it was quite enjoyable and we all had a great time.

Neptune Dive - Saturday, July 11, 2026. Story and Photos by Sokol Prifti. Alex Wieck, Todd Alger, Joe Kilcommons and I left the marina 7:00 am due to the Tall ship events and headed to North Shore. On the way up we enjoyed watching the tall ships spreading out their sails heading to Boston Harbor for the Tall Ship Parade. Our first dive was Manchester by The Sea with ok visibility 30-45 feet and temp down to 48 degrees on the bottom. There were good size lobsters and some seals watching Todd with curiosity! Our second dive was down to 75-82 feet for scallops with 47 degrees bottom temperature and good visibility!
The third dive was in a good spot with a lot of rock formations and marine life but cold! After that we headed back home and made it to the dock at 3:30 PM.
